This is one of my favorite recipes. While vacationing in Australia a couple of years ago, I watched a cooking show by Kylie Kwong and was hooked ever since.
Back in the US, I was flipping through channels one late evening and to my surprise, Kylie's show was playing on the Discovery Home channel. It is a regular show with a very unique format.
The show features Kylie Kwong traveling through Asia introducing viewers to quaint, unique tidbits of history and modern day life. The format is captivating and seamlessly integrates recipes with artistic journeys through the fascinating lives and customs of the Asian culture.
Unlike the typical food travel shows, Kylie's memoirs are presented in a way that makes you feel part of the experience and leaves you with deep sense of wanting more.
Here's a link to one of my favorite recipes:
Stir-fried Chicken Fillets with Honey and Ginger.
Not only is it absolutely delectable, it's super easy to make.
In my version I add lots of 1/2 inch scallions in the final step.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
PS: the recipe is the last one on the linked page.

History of Johnson Brothers English dinnerware
Johnson Brothers English dinnerware was established in 1883 in Stoke-on-Trent England; an area that would become well known the world over for its bee-hive like pottery kilns all over town.
By 1898 the four brothers had 5 factories producing tableware. Robert, one of the brothers, moved to the US to introduce American consumers to Johnson Brothers’ durable and inexpensive tableware.
Johnson Brothers soon became one of the most popular makers of English Dinnerware in the US. By the 1890’s they were one of the largest manufacturers of tableware in the world.
Patterns
Many of the patterns have been in continuous production through today. While the original factories in England have long disappeared, Johnson Brothers still continues to produce high quality tableware at reasonable prices.
Christopher, a fourth generation Johnson, still works with the company today and is a member of the board of Waterford-Wedgwood, of which Johnson Brothers is part.
Royal Recognition
In 1970 Johnson Brothers received a prestigious Royal Warrant to provide tableware to Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth, and is still a provider of tableware to the Queen’s Royal Household. The Royal Warrant is awarded after 5 years of consistent quality service to the Queen’s Household.
Johnson Brothers was also awarded a Royal Warrant for service to the Queen Mother and Her Household.
In a country famous for quality tableware, being singled-out with a Royal Warrant is a great honor.
